Run Dunwoody 5K, 1K Fun Run to Benefit Shelter

Area animal shelter Fighting for Dawn will host this weekend's 5K Doggone Fun Run and 1K Doggie Dash.

Get a workout and support a local animal shelter this weekend by participating in the 5K Doggone Fun Run and 1K Doggie Dash in Dunwoody on Saturday, Oct. 25.

Saturday’s event is organized by Fighting for Dawn, an Atlanta-area animal rescue shelter that works to help homeless, abused, and unloved animals find a new family. Proceeds from the race will help the shelter reach more pets in desperate need of care.

The race is scheduled for 8 a.m. at Brook Run Park, 4770 N. Peachtree Road in Dunwoody. Come race day, runners should congregate near the startling line next to the pavilions at the center of the park.
