These Polling Sites Open Later In DeKalb
Eight polling locations will be open an hour later in DeKalb County due to a court order.

EAST ATLANTA, GA β Fourteen polling locations in DeKalb County will be open until 8 p.m. after a judge granted Atlanta city officials an order to extend the 7 p.m. closure time for voting in the 2025 general election.
The time change came after city officials sued Fulton and DeKalb counties to extend the voting time.
Polls usually open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. in statewide elections, but a judge ruled Atlanta officials can keep polls open an hour longer.

With the update, Atlanta residents who do not arrive at their polling locations by 7 p.m. will not be able to vote in the Public Service Commission special election and will be mandated to vote using provisional ballots, Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens said.

The race for mayor and several city council positions are on the ballot in Atlanta. Dickens is aiming to keep his seat against three challengers, and Atlanta City Council member Marci Collier Overstreet is up against Rohit Malhotra for council president.
βWe strongly encourage voters to have a plan, especially if they have not returned an absentee ballot or did not cast a ballot during the early voting period," said Keisha Smith, executive director of the DeKalb County Voter Registration and Elections Office, in a news release.
