Norcross Park Holds Groundbreaking for New Water Attraction
Mayor Bucky Johnson and other city officials attended the groundbreaking event at Malibu Grand Prix.
Malibu Grand Prix and the city of Norcross held the groundbreaking Monday for Buccaneer Cove, the park's new water attraction.
Mayor Bucky Johnson and other city officials attended the event to kick-off demolition for the project, which should start sometime in the next few days.
Malibu's Regional Marketing Manager Jessica Adams said they hope the new attraction will be completed by Memorial Day weekend in May, but it depends on construction. At the latest, they're shooting for early June or the beginning of summer.
