• Gwinnett couple handcuffed at home after fake hostage call (wsbtv.com) — Gwinnett County police are investigating a suspected swatting call that sent armed officers to the wrong Sugar Mill Drive home on Christmas Eve, leaving longtime resident Fredis Mejia and his wife briefly handcuffed and shaken. Officers say a fake report of a woman held at gunpoint led them to detain the couple while they checked for danger, and warn that swatting is illegal and carries serious charges.
