Northside Hospital Cancer Institute is its presenting sponsor for Relay for Life of North Fulton 2017. The event will be held from 4- 11 pm.
From Relay For Life: The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life of North Fulton has announced that Northside Hospital Cancer Institute is its presenting sponsor for Relay for Life of North Fulton 2017. The annual community event will be held May 13th from 4 - 11 p.m., at Webb Bridge Middle School in Alpharetta.
“We are thrilled to have the support of Northside Hospital Cancer Institute again this year,” said Lecia
Hauer, Community Manager, South Atlantic Division, for the American Cancer Society. The hospital’s
cancer center has committed $20,000 to the 2017 event, and more than $80,000 over the past four years.
Roswell Rotary and Family Life Publications are 2017 sponsors. “We are still accepting sponsors for our
2017 Relay season,” said Hauer. Retail partners that have sponsored give-back nights, donating a portion of
their sales on a given date, include Zaxby’s, Chipotle, Vino 100, Kendra Scott and UB4Me.
“We raised $215,000 in 2016, and with the addition of Roswell to our event this year, we are gearing up for
an even more successful Relay season,” said Jean Mense, North Fulton Event Leadership Team. “There are
many different ways to participate, whether you are a corporate sponsor, a give-back partner, a group
forming a team, or simply someone that wants to attend the Relay itself,” she said. “Now is the time for
teams to be raising money, when May 13th arrives we will all celebrate together.”

Relay For Life is a community-based, volunteer-driven event held annually in towns throughout the world.
Teams fundraise over several months in advance of their Relay by reaching out to friends and family for
donations and by organizing mini fundraisers. On May 13th, our North Fulton teams will set up sites
around the Webb Bridge Middle School track and take turns walking or running laps in memory of those
they’ve lost to cancer and in honor of those currently fighting the disease. The North Fulton Event
Leadership Team will provide a carnival atmosphere for additional fun, and food and beverages will be
available for sale to benefit the Society.
Internationally, Relay has raised billions of dollars for cancer research since 1985. Visit the Relay for Life
of North Fulton website at www.relayforlife.org/northfult... for more information, or contact Lecia
