LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — A homeowner fatally shot a burglary suspect Monday in the 2000 block of Redbark Court, Gwinnett County Police said.
When the unidentified suspect went into the back of the home, police said the person was "immediately confronted" by the residents who were inside the home.
The suspect then remained inside while officers surrounded the home, police said.

As officers went into the home to attempt an arrest, police said the suspect was shot by the homeowner. The suspect died of their injuries, police said.
