Man Fatally Shot In Chest Identified: Police

A fight in a Lawrenceville led to a man getting fatally shot. He's been identified but police are looking for the shooter or shooters.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA – A man found in a Lawrenceville parking lot with at least one gunshot wound to the chest, has been identified, according to the Gwinnett County Police. Detectives are stillworking to identify the suspects involved.

Marlon Walker, 32, was pronounced deceased at the scene, despite officers rendering aid to Walker.

At 2:30 a.m., Gwinnett County Police responded to a report of shots fired at 50 St. Marlowe Drive in unincorporated Lawrenceville. They discovered a man in his 30s in the parking lot with at least one gunshot wound to the chest.

Witnesses told police there was a physical altercation between at least two men in the parking lot prior to the shooting. After the victim was shot, the suspect or suspects fled the scene.

Detectives are asking the public to call in if they saw or heard anything related to the incident.
