Pedestrian Fatally Hit, Police Look For Hit-And-Run Driver
A 79-year-old woman was fatally struck by a truck while walking along Johnson Road. Police are looking for the hit and run driver.
LAWRENCEVILLE, GA —The Lawrenceville Police Department is investigating a fatal pedestrian hit and run accident that happened Monday evening.
Tran Hong, 79, of Lawrenceville was walking along Johnson Rd at Daniel Lane when she was struck by a U-Haul truck, Lawrenceville Police reported.
The truck appeared to have left the roadway prior to collision, according to police. After the collision the truck left the scene. The U-Haul is missing portions of the right front headlight and corner light as a result of the collision. The vehicle was driven by a male driver. Hong died at the scene.
