Police Hope Public Recognizes Front or Backside of Burglary Suspect in Lawrenceville

Gwinnett County Police release still photos and video of a burglary suspect making his way through an apartment on his hands and knees.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — A burglary suspect was caught on camera recently in a Lawrenceville apartment building. In a video released by police, we see the suspect coming and going — all as he crawls his way through the living room of the victim's apartment.

The incident was between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. July 19 at the Wesley Place Apartments on Sweetwater Road, according to Gwinnett County Police.

The suspect entered the apartment and immediately got down on his hands and knees in an attempt to avoid detection as he crawled toward a bedroom.

A cell phone and cash were reported stolen — not uncommon. But the video provides an unusual clue that police hope can help identify the man.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, wearing a red hat, a sweat shirt with stripes and blue jeans.
