Gwinnett County Sheriff's deputies are desperately searching for "Snowflake," who went missing Wednesday, Aug. 1.

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — The Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office is searching for a special dog that went missing Wednesday, Aug. 1, that belongs to a very special family, according to the Sheriff's Facebook page.

Snowflake has been missing since she ran out the door at the groomers Wednesday afternoon. She was last seen near New Hope Road and Simonton Road in Lawrenceville. Snowflake was adopted last year by Justin Gaines’ family and has played a very therapeutic role in this family since Justin went missing in 2007 from (formerly) Wild Bill’s, a nightclub, in Duluth, Nov. 2, 2007. He was reportedly trying to find a ride to his mother's home in Snellville.

"We want Snowflake safely reunited with her beloved family as soon as possible," the post says. "If you see her, please call Nicole Wilson at 678-571-7529. Snowflake is micro-chipped and is not aggressive.Thank you in advance for your help!"
