- Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services responded to a house and vehicle fire around 1:40 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon. Officials say the home on Mill Ridge Drive in nearby Lawrenceville was set ablaze after a recreational vehicle fire nearby caused an explosion. Crews believe the fire was accidental and did not cause any injuries. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
- The first ever Gwinnett County "Welcoming Week Festival" takes place this Saturday at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center plaza. All residents are invited to enjoy arts and crafts, food trucks, and games while celebrating the rich diversity of Gwinnett County. - The Loganville High School Varsity Softball team defeated Walnut Grove in a 7-2 victory on Wednesday night. Five of the seven runs scored by the Lady Devils during the game were secured in the first inning, with both Lindsey Lumsden and Rivers Sampson going two for four during the game.
