- After parents theorized that violence has increased in Gwinnett County Schools, 11Alive used data from Gwinnett County School District (GCSD) to verify the claim. Aug. 1 through Oct.31 in 2021 was compared to the same time period in 2022. In 2022, the number of on-campus fights increased 32 percent and 26 percent more weapons have been found. Many parents believe the increased violence is due to the modified district policy on how to discipline students. (11Alive)
- Gwinnett County has published its unofficial 2022 General Election results. Democrat Raphael Warnock and Democrat Stacey Abrams had the highest votes in the county. - The Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office is hosting its 2nd annual Thanksgiving giveaway today, Nov. 10, from noon to 5:00 p.m. at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds. Sheriff Keybo Taylor said, "When you can actually benefit the community in a different way, you know, by giving back by partner and then with community. I wish I could tell you, I just can’t explain it. But you know, it’s a very good feeling." Turkeys, hams, roasters, and other grocery items will be part of the free giveaway. (WSB-TV 2 Atlanta)
