- A 20-year-old man was fatally shot over a Door Dash delivery mix-up in nearby Conyers. Zaire Watson, Jr., 22, has been charged with the murder of Fernando Soloman, 20. The shooting occurred on Sep. 8 around 1:00 a.m. after Door Dash delivered the food to the wrong door. (On Common Ground News)
- Grayson's own Kylan Fox visited Georgia last weekend for the game against Samford. Fox said he was impressed by what the university and team had to offer. The 6'5 athlete is an asset in both offense and defense, making him one of the hottest names in the recruitment of the 2024 class. He has offers from schools like Alabama, Louisville, Ohio State, and Tennessee. (Albany Herald)
- Explore Gwinnett will be hosting a Family Reunion Workshop on Oct. 1. The workshop will take place at the Mountain Park Activity Building in unincorporated Stone Mountain in Gwinnett County. Anyone planning to host a family reunion is encouraged to attend. The event is free, but registration is requested, (On Common Ground News)
- Cleveland State's Women's Basketball has announced its 2022-2023 roster, which includes Loganville's Jenae Charles. Coach Evelyn Thomason described the forward and the rest of her team as "loaded with talent". The coach expects to return to the Championship game, competing for the TCCAA championship.
