  1. Loganville High School will face off against the Dalton Catamounts in the Georgia high school football playoffs tonight. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has ranked Loganville the 10th 5A team. Their only game against a currently-ranked team in 5A was a 42-6 loss to fourth-ranked Jefferson. However, Loganville has a star rusher, Solomon Leslie, who managed 1,382 yards and 15 scores during the regular season. The winner of tonight’s game will play the victor of the Creekside and Greater Atlanta Christian game. Kickoff is set for 6. (Dalton Daily Citizen)
  2. Paul Sikorski of Grayson turned 100 years old on Veteran's Day, Nov. 11, and can still fit into his Army uniform from 1945! The WWII veteran served as a master sergeant in the Army Signal Corps and trained in microfilming. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
  3. This month’s Gwinnett County Public Schools School Board meeting will be held this upcoming Thursday, Nov. 17, at 7:00 p.m. The meeting is held at the J. Alvin Wilbanks Instructional Support Center, located at 437 Old Peachtree Road in Suwanee. These meetings are open to the public, and local residents are encouraged to attend and address the board so they can “become better acquainted with the operation and programs of the school system.” (Gwinnett County Public Schools)
  4. Emblem Grayson, a newly built 344-unit multifamily community in Loganville, was sold to TitanCorp & InvestCorp. The community’s unique suburban location was chosen to provide direct access to Interstate 85's industrial corridor, including in-town job centers, such as the Center for Disease Control’s headquarters and Emory University.   5. Today, Nov. 12, the Walnut Grove Warrior Band is hosting the "Warrior's Wild Wheel Car and Bike Show" at Walnut Grove High School in Loganville! From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., there will be vendors, the WGHS Marching Band, show entries, and awards. (Walnut Grove High School via Twitter)
