Gwinnett Man Shot, Killed On I-85 In Apparent Road Rage Incident

LILBURN, GA — A Norcross man died early Sunday morning as he was exiting Interstate 85 in an apparent road-rage incident.

Steven Vallejo, 31, was shot at about 12:30 a.m. as he was driving on the southbound exit ramp to Indian Trail Lilburn Road. He was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

Gwinnett County Police said the suspected shooter, described as a Black male, struck the ramp’s exit sign with his car before fleeing south on I-85. His vehicle is described as a silver/gray 2010s Chevrolet Malibu or Impala. Police said it will have moderate to extensive front-end damage from hitting the sign.
