Large-Scale Gang Arrests Made: GCPD
Gwinnett authorities say they've arrested over a dozen members of a criminal street gang, an offshoot of the Bloods.
GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — The Gwinnett Gang Task Force made some large-scale arrests after months of investigating the 59 Brims street gang, a portion of the Bloods, according to a release from the Gwinnett County Police Department.
The release says 59 Brim has been active in Gwinnett County and the metro area for over 10 years.
According to the release, the gang's enterprise included pimping, prostitution, robbery, assaults, illegal gun sales, trafficking heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine and murder.

"We will combat criminal street gang activity through aggressive enforcement of Georgia laws. We aim to educate the public about the dangers of joining and participating in criminal street gang activity," said Cleo Atwater, commander of the Special Investigations Section.
Police say their investigation revealed Wonnawon Wonzon, 29 was the Atlanta leader of 59 Brim. Marlin Smith, also known as "Bandana," 34, was the leader of 59 Brim in North Carolina and Virginia.

Alongside Wonzon, authorities investigated as 59 Brim members Sceon Skeffers, 29; Robert Lo, 28; Anthony Savage, 23; and Devery Dees, 24.
Authorities arrested all of them and several other gang members. They also seized 72.4 grams of fentanyl, 139 grams of heroin, 57.6 grams of cocaine, 44.6 grams of MDMA, 2,447 grams of meth and 18 guns, four of which were stolen, the release says.
Also arrested, identified as associates or members of 59 Brim, were:
