Lawrenceville Upgrades Gas System In Loganville Area

LOGANVILLE, GA – The City of Lawrenceville Gas Department will begin a new project in Loganville in early February 2019. The Mayor and City Council recently approved approximately $400,000 in budgeted funds to upgrade a portion of the community’s robust gas system. The project calls for replacing approximately four miles of gas mains inside the City of Loganville, upgrading 1950’s-era pipe with modern-day materials.

“Lawrenceville’s gas system provides a huge resource to the City and ensures our future from a financial standpoint,” noted Chuck Warbington, City Manager. “It is vitally important to maintain our lines as customer service and reliability are paramount to our continued success as a natural gas provider. These improvements also keep ongoing maintenance costs down due to steady upgrades and modernization of our infrastructure.”

This project will be the first of two phases and will affect residents on the following streets in Loganville: Main, Mill, Broad, Fair, CS Floyd, Camp, Rock, Pecan, Church, Covington, Long, Line, Clifford, and Highway 20/81.
