- An argument at an auto shop in Gwinnett County ended in a fatal shooting, according to police. Officers arrived on the scene of a nearby Lilburn dealership to find one man dead of a gunshot wound in the parking lot. The victim, who has not been publicly named, reportedly got into an altercation with the owner of Putting Things Together Auto. The owner of the business is being questioned by police, but no charges have been filed yet. ( The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
- Walton County Public Works is cautioning drivers to avoid Bearden Road if at all possible. Located in Monroe, Bearden Rd. began undergoing the Milling and Deep Patching Project on Monday. Those drivers who must travel through the area are being advised to proceed with caution. Delays are expected, and drivers should keep an eye out for pilot cards and flaggers. - Police have apprehended a man wanted in connection with the murder of a young Lilburn woman. The Gwinnett Police Department arrived at Burns Road on the evening of Sep. 18 to find a woman in her 20s lying in the backyard. The woman had been shot, and although paramedics tried to stabilize her, she was pronounced dead at the scene. On Monday, police arrested 49-year-old Andre Marvell King from Lilburn. He has been charged with aggravated assault and felony murder. (Gwinnett County News & Events)
