  1. A local woman celebrated a major life milestone this past weekend. On Friday, Sep. 9, Eleanor Petrick celebrated her 100th birthday with friends and family. Eleanor currently resides at the Magnolia Senior Living in Loganville. (CBS 46 News)
  2. On Thursday, Sep. 8, the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce's Board of Directors voted unanimously to endorse the special purpose local option sales tax (SPLOST) referendum. The SPLOST referendum will appear on the upcoming Gwinnett County ballots. (Subscription: Gwinnett Daily Post)
  3. The "Groovin on the Green" concert series is back for its final event of the season. The Embers will perform on stage at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sep. 16. The Embers, who have been releasing music for decades, have received multiple awards and accolades in North and South Carolina. (Monroe Local)
  4. Mark another win for Loganville: the Loganville High School football team defeated the Apalachee team on Friday, Sep. 9. The Red Devils scored 38 points, while the Wildcats has zero points. (Walton Tribune)
