Meet the Candidates: Linda Dodd
The 17-year Loganville resident is running for one of the three open seats on the city council.

Loganville-Grayson Patch is running profile pieces on the different candidates running in the November general election.
For the city of Loganville, three at-large seats are open on the council and the mayor's seat also is open. Seven residents have qualified as candidates for the council, and two candidates are running for mayor. Linda Dodd is one of the candidates running for city council.

Have you ran for/served previously on the city council? If so, when? No
What inspired you to run this term? Working closely with the mayor and council while volunteering on the Events Committee.
What are some of the notable projects you've helped or spearheaded in the past? Helped with the planning of the July 4th parades, Autumn Heritage Festivals and events on the Town Green.
What are some of the immediate things you want to work on if you win the council seat? How would you accomplish them? Bringing government back to the people through getting to know citizens and getting citizens to know each other with city functions and events.
What are some of your long-term goals for the city? How would you accomplish them? To work with the Mayor, Council, and City Manger to keep our current level of quality of city services by promoting the department heads to continue to strive to do their best. To always remember we work for the citizen not ourselves.
What do you think is the greatest challenge facing Loganville, and how would you approach it? With our rapid growth the city needs to maintain the current level of government operating with the Mayor, City Council and City Manager to continue to handle growth issues, before they become growth problems. I will work with all departments in planing, scheduling and conquering issues as they arise.
Do you want to add anything? We have a great city and if we as elected officials will keep in mind who elected us to work for them then the city will continue to grow and be a place the we can be proud to say we live in Loganville.
