- One person is dead following a multi-car crash in Gwinnett County on Sunday. The incident occurred on a westbound stretch of Ronald Reagan Parkway, where one driver sideswiped another before traveling across the median and hitting a third vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. The driver who sideswiped another vehicle is dead, though police have not yet released their identity. (WSB Atlanta)
- The Gwinnett County Public Library will be hosting events with the Atlanta Community Food Bank all week long. The Lilburn Branch will host a drive-through food pantry on Nov. 8 starting at 10:00 a.m., and drive-through meal distribution services will be available at multiple branches on Nov. 9-10 at 11:00 a.m. Click to view the complete schedule of events. - The Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office will host its second annual Thanksgiving Food Giveaway this week. The giveaway will take place from 12:00-5:00 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10, at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds. Registration is not required, and all food distribution is free while supplies last! - The driver in an accident that resulted in the death of a Mill Creek High School cheerleader last week has been released from Gwinnett County Jail after first being booked last Wednesday. Kyle McDowell’s bonds for the three charges against him had been set at a total of $8,300. McDowell, 21, has been charged with first-degree vehicular homicide, driving under the influence of alcohol, and failure to maintain lane. (Subscription: Gwinnett Daily Post)
- The Loganville City Council will host its monthly work session today, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
