Murder Suspect IDed In Extended-Stay Hotel Shooting: Gwinnett PD
Marquel Williams of Loganville is wanted for aggravated assault and felony murder in connection with the shooting at the Home Stay Suites.

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — Police have identified a suspect in a deadly shooting Wednesday at an extended-stay hotel on Stone Mountain Highway.
Marquel Williams, 29, of Loganville is wanted by Gwinnett County Police for aggravated assault and felony murder in connection with the shooting at Home Stay Suites in Lilburn.
When police arrived late Wednesday morning at the hotel, they found a man dead in the parking lot. Witnesses said he was shot after arguing with another man.

A spokesperson for the Gwinnett County Police Department said the shooting was related to a domestic argument. Williams’ whereabouts are currently unknown. According to The Walton Tribune, his last known address was on Willow Shade Court.
On Wednesday, witnesses described Williams to police as a Black male with dreads or short dreads, about 5 feet 11 inches tall and 200 pounds. He was wearing plaid shorts, and either a green shirt or no shirt.
