Retired Sheet Metal Worker From Loganville Passes Away

James Carroll Harris Sr., 87, of Loganville, passed away Thursday, Sept. 26.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 29, at the Cornish Mountain Baptist Church, located at 1089 Cornish Mountain Church Rd. in Oxford, Ga. Rev. Jerry Barrett will officiate. Burial will follow in church cemetery.    

A retired sheet metal worker for Moncrief Heating and Air, Mr. Harris was a member of Cornish Mountain Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Virginia King Harris and is survived by his Children: James Carroll, Jr. & Mary Harris, Danny Robert & Laura Harris, all of Loganville; Florence & Joe Young, Sarasota, FL; Lavone & Richard Smith, Loganville; Billy Harris & Charlotte Ebner, Jefferson; Sisters: Frances Turner, Hapeville; Patsy Brownlee, Powder Springs; Betty June Posey; 13 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
