Trip Elementary School in Grayson Gets New Principal

Trip Elementary School is one of four schools to get new principals at the start of the new school year.

The Gwinnett County school board has appointed four veteran educators to lead elementary schools in the coming school year and Trip Elementary School in Grayson will be headed up by one of those appointments in the new shcool year. School board leaders approved the changes at its monthly meeting on May 17.

Rukina Walker becomes the new principal of Trip Elementary. She is currently assistant principal  at Craig Elementary in Lawrenceville. Her effective date is July 1

  • Carrie Yougel becomes the new principal at Duncan Elementary School in Hoschton. She is the current assistant principal at Harris Elementary School in Duluth. Her appointment is effective June 3.
  • Daniel Skelton becomes the new principal at Level Creek Elementary in Suwanee. He is currently the assistant principal at McConnell Middle School. His appointment is effective July 1.
  • Allan Gee becomes the principal of Mountain Park Elementary in Lilburn. He previously was principal at Centerville Elementary, and assistant principal at Jones Middle. Now, he is returning to GCPS, after spending time in Home, Ala. His appointment is effective June 3.
