3rd GA Jail Escapee Captured; Murder Suspect Remains At Large

MACON — After nearly a month since four inmates escaped the Bibb County Detention Center, a third inmate has been captured.
The Bibb County Sheriff's Office said Johnifer Dernard Barnwell, 37, was arrested around 8 a.m. Sunday in an Alpine Drive home in Augusta.
Authorities said drugs in the amount of trafficking quantity were recovered from the home.

The sheriff's office's Gang Unit arrested Barnwell with the help of the FBI and its SWAT team, authorities said.
Barnwell was in the detention center being detained for the U.S. Marshals Service.

"He was convicted earlier this month on federal drug trafficking charges and faces a significant time in prison when sentenced," authorities said in October.

Of the $73,000 total reward that is being offered for information leading to the inmates, the Bibb County Sheriff's Office and the Marshals Service each offered up to $5,000 while the Macon Regional Crime Stoppers offered up to $2,000 for each inmate.
The FBI offered $10,000 for information leading to Barnwell's capture, bringing the reward for his arrest up to $22,000.
His inmate profile was not displayed in Bibb County's jail system, and current charges he faces are unknown.

Escapees Chavis Stokes and Marc Kerry Anderson have been arrested. The fourth escapee, 52-year-old Joey Fournier, remains at large.
The men escaped on Oct. 16 through a damaged day room room and a cut fence.
Jakaylen Williams, 24, was identified as the driver of the getaway car and has been arrested, authorities said.

Authorities previously said Christian Demond Williams, 23, was believed to have been involved in helping the men escape the detention center. Williams, who was reportedly kidnapped, died by suicide after a U.S. Marshals Service raid, authorities said.
Media outlet 13WMAZ reported Williams' girlfriend, Mykia Williams, was arrested during the raid and was charged on suspicion of four counts of aiding an escape.
Tymesha Ceiarra Timley, 32, was accused of hindering Anderson's capture, authorities said.
