Sculpture in new park honors Indigenous heritage, reconciliation (mvskokemedia.com) — A new 7.5‑ton marble sculpture in East Macon’s Bicentennial Park is honoring Muscogee (Creek) heritage and symbolizing reconciliation on land near Ocmulgee National Historical Park. Artist Kenneth Johnson explains how the piece connects Macon’s past to present-day Muscogee people, while local leaders frame the park as a place for reflection, healing, and renewed partnerships.
   

2. Crimestoppers seeking man wanted for terroristic threats in Peach County (41nbc.com) — Macon Regional Crimestoppers is asking Middle Georgia residents, including those in Macon and Bibb County, to help locate five people wanted on charges ranging from terroristic threats to probation violations. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may receive a cash reward by calling the Crimestoppers hotline.
   

3. Macon lottery player wins $50,000 Powerball prize (41nbc.com) — A Macon resident just won $50,000 in Powerball after buying a ticket at the Marathon gas station on Riverside Drive. The ticket matched four white balls plus the Powerball in Saturday’s drawing, and the jackpot has now climbed to an estimated $1.01 billion for Monday night.
   

4. Man arrested for abandoning puppy, running it over at Jones County gas station (wfxl.com) — Jones County deputies, in a case reported from Macon, charged a 31-year-old man with animal cruelty after a puppy was abandoned and run over at a gas station on Griswoldville Road. Investigators say surveillance video, a traffic stop on East Virginia Avenue, and a passenger’s statement led to the arrest, and the sheriff’s office is urging residents to report suspected abuse.
   

5. Georgia gas price average decreases with drivers paying $2.76 per gallon (valdostatoday.com) — Macon drivers are paying about $2.80 per gallon, making the city one of Georgia’s most expensive metro areas for gas even as statewide prices dip to a $2.76 average. AAA explains why prices are easing, compares other Georgia markets, and offers tips to stretch your fuel budget through the holidays.
