- The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public's help in identifying and locating a
Macon man who stole beer from a Circle K, located at 2580 Riverside Drive. At around 5:30 p.m. on Mar. 26, the suspect put a 24-pack of beer in his blue and grey backpack and left the store without paying. He was last seen walking toward the bridge on Pierce Avenue at the Riverside Drive intersection. He is described as a tall, slender man with short curly hair and wearing a gray hoodie with blue on the inside, black pants, slides, and an earring in his right ear. The sheriff’s office asks anyone with information on the identity or location of the suspect to call them at (478) 751-7500 or the Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME. (41 NBC News) - Today, May 2, the Macon-Bibb County Commission will discuss the proposals for spending over $1 million on the Macon-Bibb County Fire Department and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI). The county will decide whether or not to approve giving more than $560,000 of SPLOST proceeds to renovate GBI's new office in Macon. The county will also decide whether to approve using $450,000 of American Rescue Plan Act funds for Phase II of the construction of the fire training center. (wgxa.tv)
- The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is searching for 43-year-old Keion Dondrea Freeman, who is wanted in connection with a shooting that occurred on Saturday, Apr. 29. According to officials, Freeman shot a 64-year-old man with a small caliber firearm after they got into an argument near an intersection. Freeman fled the scene before deputies arrived and the victim refused treatment for his minor injury. The sheriff’s office asks anyone with information on the whereabouts of Freeman to contact them at (478) 751-7500 or Macon Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-877-68CRIME. (41 NBC News)
- A 32-year-old man is in critical condition after he was shot inside his Macon home on Saturday, Apr. 29. According to deputies, the victim was shot during an argument with another man in the 4300 Block of Barrington Place. The Bibb County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident and asks anyone with information to call them at (478) 751-7500. (wgxa.tv)
