  1. In Macon, seven men who were shot within a span of 30 days have refused to cooperate with law enforcement investigations. According to Macon Judicial Circuit District Attorney Anita R. Howard, one potential reason behind this refusal is a distrust in law enforcement, a phenomenon observed more frequently in marginalized communities and impoverished areas. The Bibb County Sheriff's Office emphasizes the importance of building partnerships with the community to establish trust and prevent further violence. (wgxa.tv)
  2. A 35-year-old man named Kyle Patterson has been arrested in connection with a fatal wreck that occurred in Macon in Nov. 2022. Patterson, who was driving a Toyota Tacoma in the wrong direction on Interstate 75, reportedly collided with a BMW, resulting in the death of 20-year-old Hamadoun Oumar Diallo. Court documents revealed that Patterson had a blood alcohol content of at least 0.26, and he faces charges of vehicular homicide and DUI. (wgxa.tv)
