Cobb Police ID 4 Victims At Cumberland Mall Shooting
Police released the names of four victims in the shooting in the Cumberland Mall parking lot Tuesday, one of which was a child.
COBB COUNTY, GA — Cobb County police are investigating a Tuesday shooting outside Cumberland Mall, in which four people were injured — including a child.
The shooting occurred just after 6 p.m. Tuesday in the parking lot of the Buffalo Wild Wings at the mall. Police did not evacuate the mall upon arrival, as the two suspect vehicles already drove away.
Initially, it appeared two people were shot. But Cobb police identified four people shot Wednesday evening: Karanji Reese, 18; Jokava Harris, 19; Desean Powell, 19; and one elementary school-age child. They were shot in the leg, foot and back.

Two people were shot outside the Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant at Cumberland Mall Tuesday evening, Cobb County police said, including a child.
Cobb police spokesperson Sgt. Wayne Delk told Patch that police were on the scene as of 7:20 p.m. Tuesday, and said two people were shot — one in the leg and the other in the foot. Police said one of the victims was an elementary-age child, and the other was an adult man, but did not indicate who was shot where.
At least two suspect vehicles were involved, but they drove away.
The shooting took place in the Buffalo Wild Wings parking lot, not inside any of the establishments, Delk said. Much of the parking lot has been taped off.
State Rep. Erick Allen, whose district encompasses the Cumberland Mall area, tweeted Tuesday evening about the shooting.
