  1. The Cobb Chamber is currently collecting nominations for its 2022 Citizen of the Year awards. The awards are meant to honor residents that perform extraordinary work for our community. A recipient is chosen from the Marietta area. Click to nominate an individual before the Monday, Oct. 3 deadline. (Cobb County Courier)
  2. The price of gasoline in Cobb County is slightly higher than the state average of $3.63 per gallon. A gallon of gas in Cobb County is currently averaging about $3.78 per gallon. Gas prices continue to drop due to a decline in demand. If demand continues to remain low while stocks continue to rise, prices may continue to drop for Cobb County drivers. (Cobb County Courier)
  3. $15,750 in cash scholarships were awarded during the 64th annual Miss Cobb Competition. The competition was held on Aug. 6 at the Jennie T. Anderson Theatre. Ludwidge Louizaire, 24, and Charlie Key, 16, were awarded the top titles. They will now move on to the state competition in Columbus in June 2023. (MDJOnline.com)
