Longtime Businessman Honors Customers
Known for his business and philanthropic endeavors in Bartow and Cobb counties, Strickland enjoys serving others.

Civic leader and longtime Marietta businessman Winston "Strick" Strickland has been a fixture in town since he opened a barbershop in the 1960s.
Among his many friends are fellow business people, lawyers, doctors, pastors and even a governor, according to the Marietta Daily Journal.
In Marietta, Strickland established S & M Enterprises, encompassing Strick's Grill, Strick's Barber Shop and S & M Laundromat.

Earlier this month, the Cartersville resident's contributions and their impact on the community were honored during the 21st annual Unsung Heroes Banquet.

Strickland is also known for building bridges between Marietta's black and white communities.
He will be the special guest at an appreciation benefit conducted Saturday by friends at his restaurant, Strick's Grill.
The public event will be from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Strick's Grill, 168 Hunt St. near Lemon Street, in downtown Marietta.
The street will be closed for the event during those hours.
