- Caffeine and Octane is set to return to the Town Center at Cobb on Sep. 4. The event is the continent's largest monthly car show. Over 1,000 different makes and models will be on display. The event will be between 9:00 a.m. and noon in the parking lot near JCPenney. Admission is free and everyone is invited to attend. (CBS 46 News)
- The Georgia Department of Public Health has released its School-Aged COVID-19 Data Report for Cobb County. According to the report, the rate of cases remains high for all age groups. The rate is declining, however. During the 14-day period, 166 children between 0 and 4 contracted COVID-19. 495 children between 5 and 17 contracted the virus during the same period. - Marietta's Duck's Dugouts will be selling a massive collection of historic sports memorabilia. The items are from New York's Foley's NY Pub. The pub was forced to close during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. Items include baseball paraphernalia signed by iconic individuals and photos of sports stars. The sale begins next week and a good portion of the sale's proceeds will go to charity. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
