Cobb Murder Suspect Charged In Fatal Shooting
Cobb County Police on Thursday identified the Roswell man killed in a Marietta shooting.
MARIETTA, GA — Police have identified the man who was shot and killed Wednesday in the 2300 block of Windy Hill Road.
Cobb County Police on Thursday said Jabril Blount, 21, of Roswell, suffered multiple gunshot wounds before dying on the scene around 10:45 a.m.

While police did not name a motive, they identified the suspect as 53-year-old Alabama resident Eric Townsend. Police said he surrendered to the Smyrna Police Department and was then taken into custody by Cobb County Police.
Townsend was charged on suspicion of felony murder and aggravated assault, police said. Cobb County Jail records showed Townsend was being held without bond.
