Educators who elect to receive the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccination will be scheduled for a second dose on April 16, 17, 23 or 24, the release said. Two instructional support days will move again in April to accommodate those second-dose vaccinations, changing from April 14 to 16 and April 21 to 23.
“We are honored as healthcare professionals in schools to partner with Cobb & Douglas Public Health to add another layer of protection and safety for our teachers and school district staff against COVID-19," said Melanie Bales, Cobb Schools nursing supervisor, in the release. "Our nurses have provided ongoing education and support to our school community, and we are hopeful that widespread vaccinations will help to bring an end to this pandemic that has brought so many challenges to our lives over the last year."
