Cobb Senior Services To Host Curbside Grocery Pickups In February

Cobb residents age 60 and older can pick up food for free from Cobb Senior Services at two food distribution events in February.

COBB COUNTY, GA — Cobb County seniors in need can get free groceries from Cobb Senior Services twice in February, per a news release from Cobb County.

Drive-up grocery pickup will take place Feb. 12 and Feb. 26 from 11 a.m. to noon — or while supplies last — for Cobb seniors age 60 and older, per the news release. No appointment is necessary, but an ID showing a date of birth and Cobb County home address is required upon arrival.

Cobb Senior Services is located at 1150 Powder Springs St., Marietta. Seniors will receive shelf-stable grocery items.

For those interested in donating items for these distribution events, donations are accepted by appointment only due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Residents are asked not to leave items outside the building for donation. To donate, residents can call 770-528-2009 to schedule a time for drop-off.
