Here are the top three stories today in Marietta:
- Marietta's Congregation Ner Tamid will be observing High Holy Days Sep. 25, Sep. 26, Oct. 4, and Oct. 5. High Holy Days are complimentary for congregation members but there is a $180 fee for adult non-members. Children under 18, students with ID, and active military will not need a ticket. - Cobb County is hosting a workshop on Wednesday, Oct. 12 about doing business with the county and Cobb County Schools. The workshop will be held at the Cobb Senior Wellness Center on Powder Springs Street in Marietta between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. This will be an opportunity for the community to learn about the county's contracting process. - The Cobb County District Attorney hosted the first Cobb Opioid Symposium last night. The meeting was held in the BOC Meeting Room on Cherokee Street in Marietta. The purpose of the event was to educate and update the community of the opioid epidemic impacting Cobb County. Participants heard from the District Attorney's Office, leading experts, and other stakeholders during the meeting. (Cobb County Courier)
