  1. Two Cobb County Sheriff's Office deputies were shot and killed on Thursday evening. The deputies were serving a warrant to a Marietta-area home when they were abruptly shot and killed. The department responded to the home and a standoff occurred that lasted nearly four hours. The deputies' names have not been released. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
  2. A Marietta couple has been arrested for leaving their infant child home alone while delivering for Door Dash. The couple was pulled over by officers near Cobb Parkway and Kennesaw Due West Road when the information was revealed. Matthew Stander and Grace Bowes have been charged with cruelty to children in the first degree. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
  3. The 7th Annual Beer Festival will be hosted at the Root House on Sep. 30. The festival will feature a large selection of local beers and will be between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Click for tickets and additional information. (City of Marietta)
