Here are the top three stories in Marietta today:

  1. The Marietta Police Department is currently investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Sunday morning. 50-year-old Robin Oliver was killed during the incident that occurred on Scott Drive and Powers Ferry Rd. Oliver reportedly failed to stop at the intersection's stop sign. The other driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact the department. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
  2. Marietta-Area Arbor Senior Living Communities has been honored as one of the best by MemoryCare.com. The recognition is for their work with residents experiencing mental health diseases such as dementia. The senior living community was evaluated by resident and family reviews. (MDJOnline.com)
  3. Cobb County Commissioners will be presented with details of the proposed Fiscal Year 2023 budget on Tuesday, Jun. 28 during their informational work session. The main focus of the budget is ensuring that critical frontline positions are filled by possibly increasing the pay scale. Budget and millage public hearings will occur throughout July.
