  1. Fentanyl overdoses have spiked in Cobb County. The overdoses have dramatically increased in the 30127 zip code specifically. According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, fentanyl is one of the most common drugs associated with drug overdose deaths in the United States, accounting for 59 percent of overdose deaths in 2017.   2. The Cobb County Board of Commissioners zoning hearing will be on Tuesday. The hearing starts at 9:00 a.m. and focuses on the rezoning requested by St. Benedict's Episcopal School.   3. The Cobb County Police Department reports that an apparent murder-suicide occurred on Saturday on Olive Springs Road in Marietta. According to the report, Crystal Mendez and Eduardo Landaverde, both 19 years old, were discovered with gunshot wounds after a caller heard shots.
