  1. Marietta firefighters are currently protesting and threatening to leave the department unless the city increases pay for veterans. The City Council already approved a nine percent increase for new hires with the Marietta Fire Department earlier this year. The department has also voiced concerns that experienced firefighters will simply leave for other departments if the pay is not increased. (11Alive.com WXIA)

Wilbert Demond Holmes Jr. has been charged with burglary, theft, and criminal damage to property for the incident that occurred on May 25.
