  1. A Cobb County Dunkin Donuts will be giving away free coffee for a year on Aug. 5. The promotion is in celebration of the South Cobb Drive location's reopening. The first 100 customers in the store will receive the coupons. Each coupon will be good for 4 free medium hot or iced coffees each month for 14 months. (CBS 46 News)
  2. The latest report issued by the Georgia Department of Public Health shows that 2,914 new cases of COVID-19 have occurred in Cobb County in the last two weeks. The state department is releasing COVID-19 data on a weekly basis instead of the previous daily report schedule. Since the pandemic started, the county has had 155,966 cases. (Cobb County Courier)
  3. There is a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms today. According to the National Weather Service, Cobb County skies will be mostly sunny with a high near 90 but there will still be a chance of rain after 1:00 p.m. Click the following link for the weather report through the end of the week.   • The Marietta Police Department has increased its reward for information about the 17-year-old that was killed on May 21 near 1600 Roberta Drive. The reward is now $10,000. (Marietta, Georgia Police Department via Facebook)
  • The Marietta Square Merchants meeting will be on Aug. 12 at 9:00 a.m. at Complete Investigations on Atlanta Street. Mark your calendar. (City of Marietta)
