A storm system that's moving across the country will roll into metro Atlanta this weekend. Enjoy the sunny, spring weather while you can.

ATLANTA, GA — It's looking like a lovely spring day in Atlanta on Friday. Better enjoy it while it lasts, folks — the weekend isn't looking quite so sunny.
After we enjoy a high of 79 and clear skies Friday, a storm system that's been working its way across the country is set to hit metro Atlanta, bringing showers, thunderstorms and gusty winds to the area.
Saturday, the chance of rain and storms kicks in around 2 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. By Saturday night, the chance of rain jumps all the way up to 60 percent. Those showers and storms will continue into Sunday morning, when the precipitation chance skyrockets to 90 percent.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 79. South wind 5-10 m.p.h., with gusts as high as 20 m.p.h. Friday night, partly cloudy, with a low around 61. South wind 5-10 m.p.h.
Saturday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 80. South wind 5-15 m.p.h., with gusts as high as 20 m.p.h. A chance of showers and thunderstorms again Saturday night, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62. South wind 10-15 m.p.h., with gusts as high as 20 m.p.h. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
Sunday: Showers and thunderstorms likely before 8 a.m., then showers and possibly a thunderstorm between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., then showers and thunderstorms likely after 2 p.m. High near 66. South wind around 15 m.p.h. becoming southwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 m.p.h. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. Sunday night, showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 8 p.m., then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m., then a slight chance of showers after 2 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 43. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
