Girl, 14, Dies in Accidental Shooting: Report
Teen rushed to Marietta hospital after incident at apartment complex on Mableton Parkway.
MARIETTA, GA -- Cobb County police are investigating an accidental shooting that left a 14-year-old girl dead.
Destiny McNichols was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta after being found Tuesday lying in a stairwell at the Sierra Forest apartments on Mableton Parkway, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
She was rushed to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston, where she was pronounced dead.

A distraught 11-year-old boy was heard screaming that he shot Destiny by accident, the newspaper reported. Police have not filed charges in the shooting.
