  1. The City of Marietta is currently accepting vendor applications for the Harvestfest Arts and Crafts Festival. The event will be on Saturday, Oct. 15 between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Marietta Square. Booth spaces are currently $50 with the application deadline set for Friday, Sep. 16.   2. The boil water advisory in a portion of north central Cobb County has been lifted. The advisory went into effect on Monday after a sensor failure caused a low-pressure situation near Sandy Plains and Wigley Road. The Cobb County Water System has tested the water quality and confirms that it meets all regulatory standards. (Cobb County Courier)
  3. The City of Marietta will be hosting a special ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, Aug. 30 for Mill Street Plaza at 4:15 p.m. The location was recently renovated to include historical panels about the 1974 train derailment. A trash receptacle will be dedicated to former Executive Director Joan Ellars following the ribbon cutting. (City of Marietta)
