  1. The Cobb County Police Department reports officers shot and killed a Marietta man on Wednesday. According to the department, Anton Washington, 22, was shot when he lunged for a knife during a domestic violence call. He died at Kennestone Hospital. No officers were injured during the incident.   2. The Cobb County Public Library has compiled a reading list in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. The celebration period is between Sep. 15 and Oct. 15.   3. According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, COVID-19 infection rates are increasing in children zero to four years of age. The report indicates 72 individuals in the age range contracted COVID-19 in the last two weeks. The other age groups are showing decreasing infection rates. (Cobb County Courier)
