Man Accused Of Shooting Marietta Home's Front Door Arrested After Weeklong Search

Marietta police arrested a Smyrna man who they say shot at the front door of a home three separate times over two days earlier this month.

MARIETTA, GA — After trying to identify the suspect for more than a week, Marietta police arrested a man who they say shot at the front door of a home three times over multiple days earlier this month.

Police said a man — now identified as Tevin McDonald, 29, of Smyrna — drove to a home in the Manning Road area and fired a gun at the front door on three separate occasions over two days.

Marietta Police Department, Smyrna Police Department and SWAT team obtained and executed a search warrant on McDonald's home and car, and found the weapon believed to be used in the incidents. A motive for the shootings is unclear.

McDonald was arrested and faces multiple aggravated assault charges, as well as second-degree criminal damage to property and various weapons charges. He was booked into the Cobb County jail without bond.
