Man accused of furnishing Marietta teen with obscene materials (macon.com) — Cobb County Police say a 21-year-old Florida man is accused of sending explicit photos and videos and possessing sexual images of a 16-year-old at a Marietta residence over several months in 2025. He was arrested Dec. 7, booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, and remains in custody without bond while facing child exploitation and obscene materials charges.
   

2. Marietta postal worker charged in mail theft targeting gift cards (fox5atlanta.com) — A Marietta East Cobb post office employee has been charged after investigators linked opened greeting-card envelopes and missing gift cards to her through a joint Cobb police and postal investigation. Authorities say test gift cards were tracked to purchases, and they’re now urging residents to avoid mailing cash or gift cards that can be easily intercepted.
   

3. Widow, widower find love again, chance to give back with music (ajc.com) — A longtime East Cobb couple is bringing live guitar-and-flute music to patients at Wellstar Hospice Care at Kennesaw Mountain in Marietta, where both once said goodbye to their spouses. They now volunteer across four Wellstar facilities, tailoring familiar hymns and old favorites to each listener, and say the emotional reactions they witness keep them coming back week after week.
   

4. 'My name is Spruce, and I'm in need of a loving home!' (cobbcountycourier.com) — A 3‑month‑old black and white Siberian husky puppy named Spruce is waiting for adoption at Cobb County Animal Services on Al Bishop Drive in Marietta. The shelter now prefers appointments for visits but still welcomes walk‑ins, and no appointment is needed if you’ve found a stray, are looking for a lost pet, or reclaiming your animal.
