🌱 Man Charged With Impersonating An Officer + Bus Driver Raises

Here are the top three stories today in Marietta:
- Marietta High School's new principal is the sole finalist in the search for a new Rome superintendent. Eric L. Holland was appointed the Marietta High School principal on Jul. 18. Before becoming Marietta High School's principal, he was Rome High School's principal. The superintendent position would be leading a district of about 6,500 students. (The Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
- The Cobb County Police Department has charged a man with impersonating a public officer. According to the department, Jared Spencer, 31, told officers that he was a Cobb Cobb County police officer. Then, he said he was an officer with the Marietta Police Department. The department is reminding the community that there are severe consequences for falsely identifying as a police officer. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
- The Cobb County School District is considering a pay raise for bus drivers. The Cobb Board of Education will be considering a $5.25 raise for the drivers during their meeting tonight (Aug. 18).
