Marietta, Austell Students Earn Honors At GA Southwestern State
Georgia Southwestern State University is located in Americus. Congratulations to these local students!
AMERICUS, GA -- Several Cobb County students have recently earned honors at Georgia Southwestern State University. Hector Robinson of Marietta graduated during the Fall 2018 Commencement Ceremony. Robinson earned a Bachelor of Science in computer science and was one of 426 graduates. The commencement speaker was alumnus and Americus native Brigadier General Thomas Carden Jr., the Deputy Commanding General of the Multinational Divison South East, stationed in Bucharest, Romania.
These students made the Fall 2018 Dean's List and were among 600 students recognized for scholastic achievement:
- Lynne Armstrong-Mensah of Marietta
- Teana Briscoe of Marietta
- Leila Hamed of Marietta
- Shyla Stoops of Marietta
- Schanta Barksdale of Austell
Alexia Chambers of Austell made the the Fall 2018 President's List, and William Randall of Marietta made the Fall 2018 Academic Achievement List.
