Here are the top three stories in Marietta today:
- A tragic Jun. 11 crash has killed a Marietta family of three. The incident occurred in Taliaferro County on Interstate-20 near mile marker 149. The family's car reportedly veered off the road and struck a tree head-on. The car burst into flames. Chanece Samuel, John Parker, and their 7-year-old daughter Bryanna Brewster died during the incident. The exact cause of the incident is still under investigation. (WTVC)
- Japan's Maruho Medical has officially opened its newest assembly facility in Marietta. The new 22,000-square-foot facility will reportedly create 16 new jobs. More than 30 Japanese companies are operating in Cobb County. Maruho Medical's new facility is located on Chastain Meadows Parkway. (GlobalAtlanta)
- "The Realness" will be Marietta's New Theatre in The Square's next performance. The show is a 90's Hip Hop love story by Idris Goodwin. The performance will run from Jul. 8 through Jul. 17. Click the link for tickets. (WCLK)
